More than $3.5 million in prizes won locally; every ticket sold supports education, economic development and more

Olympia, Wash. (September 10, 2025) – While the $1.787 billion Powerball jackpot was won over the weekend in Missouri and Texas, Washingtonians had plenty to celebrate during the record-breaking run.

From June 1 through September 6, players across the state won 34 large prizes ranging from $50,000 to $1 million, totaling more than $3.5 million. These include 25 $50,000 prizes, six $100,000 prizes, one $150,000 prize, one $500,000 prize and one $1 million prize. Some of these prizes were doubled or tripled because players purchased the Power Play add-on, and others won during the secondary Double Play drawing, also an add-on feature of the game. Since 1982, Washington’s Lottery has generated more than $5.3 billion to support several important state programs. The Lottery’s primary beneficiary is the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account (WOPA), which provides much-needed funding for programs including early childhood education, the Washington College Grant and College Bound program, Washington Award for Vocational Excellence, GET Ready for Math and Science scholarships, and more.
