Washington Players Continue To Win Big As Powerball Jackpot Climbs Into September

A total of 16 large prizes ranging from $50,000 to $1 million were won over the summer; seven additional $50,000 prizes won on September’s first draw

Olympia, Wash. (September 2, 2025) – As the Powerball jackpot continues to climb, Washington players are keeping the momentum alive with a surge of big wins rolling into September. The jackpot for Wednesday night’s drawing is estimated at a whopping $1.3 billion, making it the fifth largest jackpot in the game’s history, and the ninth largest lottery jackpot of all time.

Since the last jackpot was hit on May 31, players across the state have claimed 23 large prizes ranging from $50,000 to $1 million – one in June, one in July, and 14 in August. These include 11 $50,000 prizes, two $100,000 prizes, one $150,000 prize, one $500,000 prize and one $1 million prize.

The winning streak carried straight into the new month, with the September 1 drawing producing seven $50,000 winners statewide. A complete list of prize winners from each drawing can be found here.

The Powerball drawing will take place at 7:59 p.m. PT Wednesday, September 3. Powerball also offers several add-on features, includingDouble Play for $1, a second-chance drawing at 8:30 p.m. with the chance to win up to $10 million, and Power Play for $1, which offers players the opportunity to multiply their non-jackpot winnings based on the Power Play multiplier randomly chosen at draw time. Tickets for Powerball drawings are available until 6:45 p.m. PT on the day of the draw. Sales for the next drawing resume the same day at 6:46 p.m.
