MARYSVILLE WOMAN CELEBRATES HIT 5 WIN, PLANS TO SAVE FOR A RAINY DAY

A Marysville woman plans to save for a rainy day after a recent HIT 5 win. She is one of three lucky people who purchased a winning ticket for the $190,000 Hit 5 drawing on September 29. The woman purchased her ticket at the local WinCo Foods (3947 116th St NE) and will take home a third of the cashpot, worth $63,333.

The winner told lottery officials, “When I realized I held a winning ticket, I had to go lie down from all of the excitement.” Once she had let the good news sink in a bit, the first person she told was her daughter, who was traveling. “She was driving to the airport when I called and she got so worked up I was worried she was going to need to pull over.”

The woman has practical plans for her winnings. She says she’ll use the money to pay a few bills, then make some long-planned investments and save the rest.
