WOMAN LEAVES HOSPITAL WITH A NEW BABY AND $50,000

A woman from Bothell is celebrating a lottery win and the newest addition to her family after the Powerball drawing on Friday, Jan. 5th. She purchased her winning ticket from a local QFC in Bothell (22833 Bothell Everett Hwy, Bothell, WA 98021). Interestingly enough, the drawing happened the same night as the couple was headed to the hospital to welcome their first child.

“We discovered we had won while still in the hospital, but we were so tired and in shock that we decided to wait a couple days before coming forward,” the woman said.

The couple plans to use a portion of their winnings to help pay for their hospital bills. The two, who recently relocated from California, will also use their winning to help play for their new home.

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
