A CHANGE OF PLANS PAYS BIG FOR WENATCHEE WOMAN WHO WON $190,000 HIT 5 CASHPOT

A woman from Wenatchee is celebrating after she won $190,000 playing Hit 5. She purchased her winning ticket at a local Plaza Super Jet (106 Okanogan Ave, Wenatchee, WA 98801) for the drawing on Nov. 4. “I wrote down the numbers from special dates and anniversaries in my family, but left the paper at home so I ended up just using QuickPick,” said the winner. “It’s a good thing I forgot it!”

The winner would love to celebrate her $190,000 Hit 5 win by heading to The Big Apple for a Broadway show. It has been a longtime dream of hers to see the musical “Jersey Boys” on stage.

In conversation with lottery officials, the winner shared that she was in the middle of working on a home remodel, doing much of the work herself. Some of the money will be put to use hiring help with moving furniture and installing updates.

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
