LIBERTY LAKE – On her way home from picking her kids up from school, Mary Burke decided to make a quick stop at her local Divine Corp. gas station to purchase a Mega Millions ticket. When Mary plays, she always uses the same numbers which are comprised of family birth dates, including her late father’s. “I feel like it was a little blessing,” she said. “We always go bowling on his birthday.”

Mount Vernon Man Wins Big on His Second Ticket

Mount Vernon — Francisco Gonzalez of Mount Vernon, plays the Lottery from time to time and decided to try his luck at Scratch during a visit to his local College Food Mart. The winning amount? Seventy-five dollars. On his way to cash it in, Gonzalez decided to try his luck a second time -- and it paid off. While at work, Gonzalez scratched his ticket, hoping for the best and couldn’t believe it when he saw he had just won $100,000 playing “7 Times the Money.”
