Washington's Lottery will be awarding The Ahtanum Food Mart with a selling bonus check for $73,000 on Wednesday, October 22 at 11 a.m. The store owner, Rohell Raj, and representatives from Washington's Lottery will be available for interviews following the check presentation.
The Ahtanum Food Mart in Union Gap sold the winning Washington's Lottery Lotto ticket, worth $7.3 million, to a winner from the Yakima Valley who has asked to remain anonymous. The winner claimed the multi-million dollar prize at Washington's Lottery Regional Office in Olympia on Monday, September 15.
Raj owns multiple businesses in the Yakima area, including the Tieton Food Mart, the Sunshine Market, and a hotel, which was recently renovated and became a driving force in the city's efforts to rejuvenate one of the older neighborhoods in the community.
