A Burien man was at a loss for words when he realized his two-week old Lotto ticket was worth $5.4 million. He purchased the winning ticket from Andy's Handy Mart (150 SW 160th St.) in Burien on Monday, November 3, but didn't check it until Sunday, November 16. The man said he never anticipated winning big, and had the store clerk double check the ticket for him before he got his hopes up.
An anonymous Bothell man was in complete disbelief about winning a $1 million Powerball prize until the moment he walked into the Everett Lottery office to claim his prize a few days later. "I scanned the ticket at the store, and must have checked the numbers on the (walottery.com) site about three times. My wife just said, 'Yeah, right!'"
