SNOHOMISH RESIDENT WINS $50,000 POWERBALL PRIZE IN TIME FOR BIG MOVE

A woman from Snohomish is packing her bags for Alaska after a $50,000 Powerball win. She purchased her ticket for the drawing on Saturday, Nov. 24 at a Safeway in Renton (200 S 3rd St).

The winner, an occasional lottery player, told lottery officials, "This comes at the perfect time because I am planning a big move out of state next week."

The winner hadn't made too many plans yet for her winnings, but knew right away that she would pay off some bills and take care of all of her moving expenses. The win allows her to settle into her new home in Alaska with a clean slate.
