A woman from Bonney Lake can now check a few destinations off her travel bucket list after winning $70,000 playing “Hot Card” Scratch by Washington’s Lottery. The winner purchased her ticket from Chevron (18321 SR 410 Bonney Lake, WA 98390) on December 26, 2016.

After paying off the remainder of her student loans, she plans to board a plane to Cancun, Mexico to celebrate her best friend’s 60th birthday. The winner also told Lottery officials her and her husband have always dreamed about taking a cruise through the Greek Isles. Her daughter lives in the UK, so they’ll also make a trip there.

“My husband and I love to travel, but it doesn’t always work with our schedule and budget,” the winner said. “My all-time favorite place we’ve gone is Salzburg, Austria. I can’t wait to go back.”
