KAPOWSIN MAN PLANS TO BUILD DREAM HOME AFTER WINNING $230,000 PLAYING HIT 5

Patrick Dirk is ready to build the house he and his wife have been dreaming of after winning a $230,000 cashpot from the Hit 5 drawing on Wednesday, July 27. The winner purchased his ticket the day of the drawing from a local Safeway (10105 224th St E, Graham, WA 98338).

“I went online to the Washington’s Lottery website to check my ticket and freaked my wife out because I kept saying, ‘No way,’” said Dirk. “I told her we won $230,000 and she stopped her show to check the numbers herself. She couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw them all match up!”

Dirk told Lottery officials he knows exactly how he plans to spend his prize money. He and his wife have their eyes on 20 acres of land in Roy, WA where they hope to build the house of their dreams. Winning a cashpot of this size will allow them to purchase the land and start construction of their new home.

“I can’t help thinking it was just meant to be,” said Dirk. “The garage for my man cave just got bigger!”
