VANCOUVER WOMAN RESTS EASY AFTER $50,000 SCRATCH WIN

A Vancouver woman is celebrating a $50,000lottery winafter playing“Mega Crossword” Scratch. She purchased the winning ticket at the Safeway in Camas (800 NE 3rd Ave).

The woman had won $50 on a Scratch ticket previously and decided to use a portion of that money to purchase a “Mega Crossword” game. The winner told lottery officials that she chose the game because she’s a big crossword puzzle fan.

"Once I scratched the ticket, I knew I had a winner, but I was so anxious that I couldn’t sleep,” said the winner. “I couldn’t rest my eyes until I saw the money was real. Tonight, the only way I want to celebrate is with a good night’s sleep.”

The winner told lottery officials that she plans to use the money to finance a move to a new home.
