FEDERAL WAY MAN CLAIMS $1 MILLION POWERBALL PRIZE

A Federal Way man is still in disbelief after winning $1 million playing Powerball. He purchased the winning ticket at the Dash Point ARCO in Federal Way (1600 SW 312th St) for the drawing on August 15.

The winner enjoys playing a variety of Lottery games, and this is his first big win. The retired local shared the good news with his wife first, and said they both had a hard time sleeping after that.

The man told Lottery officials that he hadn’t made any solid plans to celebrate yet, but but after a good night’s sleep, he and his wife plan to do something special together.

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
