$190,000 LOTTERY WIN HELPS LIFELONG DREAM COME TRUE FOR VANCOUVER MAN

Thanks to a recent $190,000 Hit 5 win, a Vancouver man has many reasons to celebrate. The winner purchased his winning ticket from a Vancouver Fred Meyer (2500 Columbia House Blvd) for the drawing on Monday, April 2.

“When I first realized I won, I let out a huge ‘whoop whoop.’ It was so loud I’m pretty sure everyone in the store could hear me,” shared the winner. “I was checking a few tickets, but had to come back and recheck this one 200 times just to make sure I was reading the screen correctly.”

The man told Washington’s Lottery officials that he took a photo of the screen and immediately sent it to his daughter. When he called her to tell her to look at his message, she was so overwhelmed and excited for her dad she started to cry.

The winner plans to use the money to pay off his car and credit car, as well as put some of his winnings into his retirement account. After that, he plans to use the money to invest in waterfront property near Olympia, which has always been a dream of his.

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
