Deborah Charles of Port Angeles is celebrating a $50,000 lottery win after playing “Multiply Your Money” Scratch. She purchased the winning ticket from a Port Angeles Safeway (110 E 3rd Street).
“I had to keep checking the numbers before I could even believe it myself, but then I started jumping up and down screaming because it sunk in that I had just won $50,000,” shared the winner.
Charles said that she is a regular lottery player, but this is the most she has ever won.
She and her husband plan to use the money to pay bills around the house, but first they are going out for a nice dinner to celebrate.
Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
