$75,000 LOTTERY WIN IS AN EARLY BIRTHDAY GIFT FOR KENNEWICK WOMAN

A woman from Kennewick had an early birthday surprise thanks to a $75,000 Scratch win. She purchased the winning “Ready Set Gold” ticket from SRPH Neighbors Conoco (780 Stevens Drive, Richland, WA 99352).

The woman purchased the ticket on her way to an appointment, thinking that it would be a fun way to treat herself ahead of her big day. It was her husband who first realized she had scratched a winner. “After my husband checked the ticket, he just sat in the car staring at it in disbelief,” she said.

Initially, she was nervous that the win was too good to be true, but once she confirmed it was real, she started thinking about the travel plans the two could now make together.

They plan to spend their prize visiting family in California and Colorado and also take a special trip by themselves.

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
