PASCO BUSINESS OWNER RELIEVED TO FIND HIS WINNING TICKET FOR $180,000 HIT 5 CASHPOT

A man from Pasco is thrilled to take home $180,000 (half of the $360,000 Cashpot due to two winning tickets) playing Hit 5. He purchased his winning ticket at a local Tesoro (1212 N 4th Ave, Pasco, WA 99301) for the drawing on Nov. 22.

He returned to the gas station a few days later to check to see if he was a winner. The clerk shared the good news and the man hurried to tell his wife. It was then that he realized he had left the winning ticket at the gas station where he’d checked his numbers.

“It felt like it took them forever to find it,” said the winner. “But when they finally did, it was the best moment. I signed it immediately and went straight home.”

The winner and his wife recently bought their own restaurant in the Tri Cities. While some of the money will be put toward paying off debt from that purchase, one splurge they are excited to make is replacing the vinyl banner they currently have hanging on the restaurant with a new sign displaying the name of the eatery.

“We’re very proud of our restaurant and it will be so special to have our very own sign,” the winner said.

In a conversation with lottery officials, the winner shared that he and his wife would also put some of the money toward buying a house. After leaving the lottery office, he planned to go back to work at his restaurant.
