Bonney Lake resident, Gale Johnson, was getting ready to go camping with his wife when he stopped by Safeway (21301 Washington 410, Bonney Lake, WA 98391) for some popcorn. As he was leaving, he purchased a “Gold & Silver Jackpot” Scratch ticket, which turned out to be a $75,000 winner.
“I can’t wait to take my grandbabies on a trip to Disneyland,” said Johnson. “It’s been 10 years since I’ve taken a major vacation and I want my next one to be with the family.”
Johnson told Washington’s Lottery officials he also plans to use his prize money to buy a new television with surround sound and eventually invest in some new laminate flooring for his home.
Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
