POULSBO WOMAN PLANS HAWAIIAN CELEBRATION FOR DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AFTER $110,000 LOTTERYWIN

A trip to the Red Apple (20441 Viking Ave NW, Poulsbo, WA 98370) while on the way to work resulted in a $110,000 Hit 5 win for a woman from Poulsbo. She purchased her ticket for the drawing on Monday, March 27 and has big plans to use the prize on an upcoming trip to Hawaii.

“My daughter-in-law is retiring from the Navy after 22 years of service and we’re going to Honolulu for her ceremony,” said the winner. “This prize money will help us make her celebration extra special, especially since we’re still in the planning phase!”

The winner told Washington’s Lottery officials she also plans to purchase a new car with her prize money, most likely a Mazda SUV. She plans to spend some time shopping for the car over the next few weeks.

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
