Washington's Lottery Imagines how Washington Residents Could Make Their Holidays Spectacular If They Won
OLYMPIA: No one matched all six winning numbers in the Mega Millions drawing on Friday, December 6, but one lucky Washington resident matched five numbers for a $1 million win! The Mega Millions jackpot rolled again, and increased to a whopping $344 million, the fourth largest prize in the history of Mega Millions. That's enough money to rent ice skates for every resident in the state of Washington (6.9 million) and go ice-skating four times this holiday season (up to $45), with enough money left over for hot cocoa afterwards.
The next drawing will take place on Tuesday, December 10 at 8:00 p.m. Washington's Lottery has imagined some ideas to help Washington residents think about what they could do to make their holidays even more spectacular if they won the $344 million jackpot.
- Give every person in Vancouver (164,500) an overnight trip to Leavenworth, WA to go on a dogsledding tour through Plain Valley (up to $2,000).
- Spend more than $1.2 million to throw a blowout holiday party in every city in the state of Washington (281).
- Treat 32,761,904 of your closest friends to a night at the movies and see one of the newest holiday blockbusters ($10.50).
Mega Millions tickets for Tuesday's $344 million drawing are available for purchase at Washington's Lottery retail locations until 7:45 p.m. the same evening. You can find Washington's Lottery retail locations here.
Mega Millions is a multi-state game. If someone in Washington wins the Mega Millions jackpot, others in the state benefit, too. For example, if Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot winner is from Washington, the retail location that sold the ticket will receive a $50,000 selling bonus.
Additionally, proceeds from Washington's Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing scholarships to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington's Lottery and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit walottery.com.
