WASHINGTON'S LOTTERY IS CALLING ALL ARTISTS...
Celebrate 30 years of Lottery, and design your own
Scratch
ticket!
OLYMPIA:
Washington's Lottery today announced a new promotion that will allow members of the public to submit their own designs for a new
Scratch
ticket. The "Design a Ticket Contest" launches today and is part of Washington's Lottery's 30th anniversary celebration. The winning design – chosen by popular vote – will be printed on a $2
Scratch
game next year.
"We have some really creative fans, and we can't wait to see what they come up with," explained Jean Flynn, Marketing Director for Washington's Lottery. "This contest is a way for Lottery players to stretch their imagination and receive recognition in a big way. The sky is the limit for what artists can submit!"
How to Join in the Fun
It's easy to participate – anyone who is 18 years or older can create an original design of their choosing, and upload it at
www.walottery.com/anniversary
. Whether it's a sketch of Mt. Rainier, a watercolor portrait of their dog, or a photo collage of their family, fans can submit any design they think would make a great
Scratch
ticket.
Submitted designs that meet set requirements will be posted on the anniversary site for the public to vote on their favorites. Entries will be accepted through October 31, with voting continuing until November 9. The design that receives the most votes will be brought to life as a real game in early 2013. For inspiration, potential
